A fresh Look for ‘Decking the Halls’

It’s nearly December which means it is officially Holiday decor time! At HFD we are on team ‘no decorations until after Thanksgiving’. We refuse to feed into insta ads and shops with Santa battling halloween ghouls and pumpkins in August. It’s gross. Can it please stop?

But we’ve made it to (almost) December and are thrilled to go deep on all things holiday with fresh ideas for giving your home a modern twist. Now, we aren’t saying the tried and true bright red and hunter green should disappear, but maybe consider a tailored approach to the classics this year.

All Things Trees

Rethink your interpretation (and placement) of the traditional tree. Wood or metal, tall or short, we say why not all! Tree’s don’t have to sit solo in the corner, spruce up your dining table centerpiece, mantle or countertops with trees that bring holiday cheer, but with that “minimalist” charm. And let’s not forget trimming the big tree, we’ve included some new favorite ornaments below along with inspiration to get you motivated.

Not Your Grandmother’s Wreath

Whether it’s hanging on the front door or above your mantle, a wreath is one of the traditional welcoming pieces of the Holiday season.
